Description
The Sugar Cookie Martini is a decadent and creamy cocktail combining the flavors of Bailey’s Irish Cream, vanilla vodka, amaretto, and heavy cream. This easy-to-make martini mimics the sweet, nostalgic taste of sugar cookies with an adult twist, perfect for holiday gatherings or dessert drinks.
Ingredients
Liquids
- 5 ounces Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 4 ounces vanilla vodka
- 3 ounces amaretto (Disaronno recommended)
- 2 ounces heavy cream or half & half
Garnish (Optional)
- Frosting (small amount for glass rim)
- Sprinkles
- Small sturdy sugar cookies (with a half-inch slit for glass garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Glasses: Optionally, smear a small amount of frosting around the outer edge of four martini glasses. Pour sprinkles in a shallow dish, then gently roll the rim of each glass in the sprinkles until coated. If using sugar cookies, create a small half-inch slit so they fit snugly on the glass edge.
- Fill Shaker with Ice: Take a large cocktail shaker and fill it halfway with ice to chill the ingredients effectively.
- Add Ingredients: Pour 5 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream, 4 oz vanilla vodka, 3 oz amaretto, and 2 oz heavy cream into the shaker over the ice.
- Shake Cocktail: Cover the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to blend and chill the ingredients thoroughly.
- Serve: Strain the chilled martini mixture into the prepared martini glasses immediately. Garnish with sugar cookies on the rim if desired and serve.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half & half.
- Use vanilla vodka to enhance the sweet, dessert-like flavor.
- The frosting and sprinkle garnish adds a festive and fun presentation.
- Make sure to shake vigorously to properly chill and mix the cocktail.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the optimal flavor and texture.
