Description

Ruffles Chips Marshmallow Treats are a delightful blend of sweet and salty flavors, combining crispy potato chips and gooey melted marshmallows to create an irresistible snack. Perfect for parties or a fun dessert, these treats are quick to make and loved by all ages.

Ingredients

For the Treats

  • 5 cups Ruffles potato chips (about 8 oz)
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Cooking spray or additional butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan using cooking spray or butter and set it aside for later use.
  2. Melt the Butter and Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Combine Chips and Marshmallow Mixture: Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly add the Ruffles potato chips. Stir thoroughly to coat all the chips evenly, breaking them gently if needed for better coating.
  4. Transfer and Press: Pour the chip and marshmallow mixture into the prepared pan. Using a buttered spatula or lightly greased hands, press the mixture evenly into the pan. Sprinkle sea salt on top to boost the sweet and salty flavor.
  5. Cool and Set: Allow the treats to cool and set at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour until firm.
  6. Cut and Serve: Once set, cut the treats into squares or rectangles as desired and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use fresh potato chips to ensure crispiness.
  • Press the mixture firmly for better shape retention.
  • Adjust sea salt according to your taste preference for sweetness and saltiness balance.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness.
  • If marshmallow mixture hardens while stirring, warm it gently again over low heat.
