Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add the lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper into a mason jar or a sealable container.
- Shake to Blend: Secure the lid tightly and shake the jar vigorously until all ingredients are fully blended and emulsified, creating a smooth vinaigrette.
- Refrigerate Before Use: Place the vinaigrette in the refrigerator to chill and allow the flavors to meld together for at least 10 minutes before serving.
- Store Properly: Keep the vinaigrette in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will maintain its best quality for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of cumin powder to suit your taste preference, starting with 1/4 teaspoon and increasing to 1/2 teaspoon as desired.
- Use fresh lime juice for the best vibrant flavor; bottled lime juice may alter the taste.
- Honey or pure maple syrup provides a natural sweetness—choose based on dietary needs or flavor preference.
- Shake well before each use as the ingredients may separate over time.
- This vinaigrette pairs excellently with mixed greens, grilled chicken, seafood, or roasted vegetables.
