Pizza Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough ball, divided into 4 pieces

Toppings

  • Italian herbs (optional), for crust seasoning
  • Shredded Italian blend or mozzarella cheese, as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400º F to prepare for cooking the pizza dough.
  2. Shape Dough Rounds: Lightly flour a clean surface and divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a round approximately 6 inches in diameter to fit your air fryer basket.
  3. Dock the Dough: Use a fork or toothpick to poke small holes generously in the center of each dough round, avoiding the edges to prevent bubbles and ensure even cooking.
  4. Season and Oil Dough: Brush both sides of each dough round lightly with olive oil for a golden, crispy crust. If desired, sprinkle garlic salt and Italian herbs on the crust edges for extra flavor.
  5. Prepare Air Fryer Basket: Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with olive oil or non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Pre-Cook the Dough: Place a dough round into the basket using a large spatula. Air fry at 375º F on Air Fry mode for 2-4 minutes, flipping halfway to achieve a golden crust and bottom. Remove and repeat for remaining dough rounds.
  7. Add Toppings: Once a dough round is pre-cooked, transfer it to a cutting board. Spread pizza sauce over the center, add shredded cheese, and top with your favorite toppings. For fresh basil, add after cooking for freshness.
  8. Final Cook: Transfer the topped pizza back to the air fryer basket. Cook at 375º F on Air Fry mode for 3-6 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is melted. Start checking at 3 minutes and adjust cook time as needed based on your air fryer.
