Ingredients

Pecan-Graham Streusel

  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice
  • 2 tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp HONEY MAID Grahams crumbs
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans

Apple Pie Dip

  • 8 oz light cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped apples, divided
  • fresh apple slices, for serving
  • 32 HONEY MAID Grahams, broken into quarters, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray a small, shallow baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set it aside.
  3. Make the Pecan-Graham Streusel: In a medium bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and apple pie spice. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut in the cold butter pieces until the mixture becomes crumbly. Stir in the graham cracker crumbs and chopped pecans to complete the streusel. Refrigerate the streusel mixture until ready to use to keep the butter cold and maintain crumbly texture.
  4. Prepare the Dip Base: In another medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with brown sugar and apple pie spice until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This creates a rich, flavorful base for the dip.
  5. Add Apples to Dip: Stir in 3/4 cup of the chopped apples into the cream cheese mixture to incorporate fresh apple flavor throughout the dip.
  6. Assemble Dip: Spread the cream cheese and apple mixture evenly onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  7. Add Apple Topping: Sprinkle the remaining chopped apples evenly on top of the cream cheese layer for added texture and apple flavor.
  8. Top with Streusel: Evenly sprinkle the chilled pecan-graham streusel mixture over the apple layer.
  9. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the streusel is lightly browned.
  10. Serve: Remove from oven and serve warm with graham cracker quarters and fresh apple slices for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for smooth blending.
  • For best texture, keep the butter cold when preparing the streusel.
  • You can substitute pecans with walnuts if preferred.
  • Use fresh, crisp apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for optimal flavor and texture.
  • This dip can be made ahead and warmed just before serving.
  • Store any leftovers refrigerated and reheat briefly before enjoying again.
