A refreshing and vibrant Strawberry Matcha Latte combining fresh strawberry puree with creamy milk, sweetened with maple syrup, and enriched with the earthy flavor of matcha green tea. Perfect as a quick, energizing drink that blends fruity sweetness with antioxidant-rich matcha.
Ingredients
Strawberry Puree
- ⅓ cup diced strawberries (approximately 3 to 4 strawberries, depending on their size)
- 1 tbsp sugar
Milk Mixture
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or more, to taste)
Matcha Mixture
- 1½ tsp matcha powder
- ⅓ cup filtered water
Other
- 1 handful ice cubes
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberry Puree: In a food processor, puree the diced strawberries together with the sugar until smooth. Alternatively, mash the strawberries by hand using a potato masher. Set the puree aside.
- Mix Milk and Maple Syrup: In a separate bowl or cup, whisk together the milk and maple syrup until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Set aside.
- Whisk Matcha with Water: In another container, whisk the matcha powder with the filtered water until all the powder is dissolved and a vibrant green liquid forms. Set aside.
- Assemble the Latte: Place a handful of ice cubes into your serving cup. Pour in the strawberry puree first, followed by the sweetened milk mixture, and finally layer the matcha mixture on top. Serve immediately for the best flavor and temperature.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup depending on your preferred sweetness level.
- You can use any type of milk such as dairy, almond, oat, or soy milk for a dairy-free version.
- For a stronger matcha flavor, increase the amount of matcha powder slightly.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the strawberry puree after blending.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast between layers before they blend together.
