Description

Indulge in the delicate and creamy flavors of Rose White Hot Chocolate, a soothing beverage infused with fragrant dried rose petals and rich white chocolate. Perfect for cozy moments, this luxurious hot chocolate is enhanced with vanilla and a touch of optional pink food coloring for a beautiful presentation. Topped with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and rose petals, it’s a delightful treat for special occasions or any day you crave a floral twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

Milk Infusion

  • 4 cups whole milk (or dairy/nondairy beverage of your choice)
  • 3 Tbsp dried rose petals, plus more for topping

Flavor and Chocolate

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 drops pink food coloring (optional)
  • 1 cup high-quality white chocolate chips or 6 oz. white chocolate bar, roughly chopped

Toppings

  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Mini marshmallows, for topping

Instructions

  1. Infuse Rose Milk: Add the milk and dried rose petals to a saucepan and set over low heat. Allow the mixture to come just to a simmer, then remove from heat and cover the pan. Let the milk steep with the rose petals for about 30 minutes to extract the floral flavor.
  2. Strain and Add Flavorings: Pour the infused milk through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, straining out the rose petals. Stir in the vanilla extract and, if desired, add 1 to 2 drops of pink food coloring for a lovely hue.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Return the milk mixture to the saucepan and warm it gently over low heat. Add the white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate bar and stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to let it boil to maintain a silky texture.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Divide the rose white hot chocolate evenly between four mugs. Top each with a generous swirl of whipped cream, a handful of mini marshmallows, and a sprinkle of additional dried rose petals for an elegant finish.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for the best flavor and smooth texture.
  • Adjust the steeping time of rose petals to make the infusion stronger or milder based on preference.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute whole milk with almond milk, oat milk, or any preferred plant-based milk.
  • The pink food coloring is optional but adds a charming visual appeal, especially for special occasions.
  • Keep the heat low when melting chocolate to avoid burning or separating the mixture.
  • This recipe serves 4 and is perfect for sharing or enjoying over multiple cozy afternoons.
