Description

This Pineapple Strawberry Agua Fresca is a vibrant, ultra-refreshing Mexican drink made by blending fresh pineapple, sweet strawberries, agave nectar, and zesty lime juice. Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s naturally sweetened, hydrating, and perfect for hot days or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Fruit Base

  • 4 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh strawberries

Liquid & Sweetener

  • 2 1/2 cups water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 23 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Fruits: Add the pineapple chunks, strawberries, 1 cup of water, agave nectar, and lime juice to a blender. Blend on high until the mixture is completely pureed and no chunks remain.
  2. Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher. Use a spoon or spatula to help press the liquid through, leaving the pulp behind for a smoother drink.
  3. Finish and Serve: Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of water to the pitcher. Stir the agua fresca well to mix everything. Serve chilled over ice for the best flavor!

Notes

  • For a sweeter drink, add more agave nectar to taste, or swap for honey or sugar.
  • You can use frozen pineapple or strawberries, just thaw slightly before blending for best texture.
  • Agua fresca tastes best chilled, so refrigerate for an hour before serving if you have time.
  • For a sparkling twist, use chilled club soda in place of some or all of the water.
  • Garnish with extra strawberry slices or pineapple wedges for a festive look.
