Description

Warm up with a delightful cup of Mulled Cider, a cozy blend of apple cider and spices like cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. Perfect for chilly days or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Fresh Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced

For the Mulled Cider:

  • 2 quarts apple cider
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 2 teaspoon whole allspice

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Thinly slice the apple and orange, discarding any seeds or stems.
  2. Put all ingredients in a large pot, stir to combine.

  3. Cooking: Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, then reduce to low and simmer for 30-60 minutes.
  4. Serving: Serve hot, garnished with apple slices, cinnamon sticks, whipped cream, and caramel sauce, if desired. Alternatively, strain and chill for a cold serving.

Notes

  • Store the cooled cider in the refrigerator for 2-3 days or freeze for 1-2 months.
  • Try a Starbucks-style serving with whipped cream and caramel syrup.
  • For a hands-off approach, use a crockpot for easy preparation.
