Ingredients
Ground Beef Mixture
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- ½ cup Diced onions
Vegetables & Cheese
- 16 ounces Cabbage (thinly shredded)
- 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
- 16 Dill Pickle slices
Special Sauce
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons Dill pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons Yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon White wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. As it cooks, add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to season the meat evenly.
- Add onions: When the beef is almost cooked through, stir in the diced onions. Continue cooking until the beef is fully cooked and the onions have turned translucent. Drain excess grease from the skillet and set the mixture aside.
- Sauté the cabbage: In the same skillet, add a small amount of olive oil, then add the shredded cabbage. Sauté until the cabbage softens slightly, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble the bowls: Divide the sautéed cabbage evenly among 4 bowls. Top each bowl with a quarter of the cooked ground beef mixture.
- Add cheese and pickles: Sprinkle 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef in each bowl, then place 4 dill pickle slices on top.
- Prepare and drizzle special sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together all special sauce ingredients (mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, yellow mustard, white wine vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder). Pour the special sauce generously over each bowl.
