Description

This refreshing Iced Mocha recipe combines the rich flavors of chocolate and coffee with creamy milk for a delicious cold beverage that’s easy to make at home. Perfect for a quick pick-me-up, this iced mocha features a smooth cocoa mixture blended with cold coffee, served over ice and topped with optional whipped cream and chocolate syrup for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Chocolate Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons milk (any percentage)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons (12 to 25g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (5g) unsweetened cocoa powder

Iced Mocha Base

  • 1 cup cold coffee
  • 2 tablespoons milk (any percentage)
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream (optional)

Toppings (Optional)

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate mixture: In a small pot, combine 2 tablespoons of milk, the granulated sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until the mixture begins to simmer and becomes smooth and well combined.
  2. Add coffee and remaining milk: Remove the pot from heat and whisk in the cold coffee, the remaining 2 tablespoons of milk, and the optional heavy cream until fully incorporated.
  3. Assemble the drink: Pour the mocha mixture over a 16-ounce glass or mason jar filled with ice. Top with optional whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced mocha.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of sugar according to your preference.
  • Use any type of milk based on your dietary needs, including dairy-free alternatives.
  • The heavy cream adds extra richness but can be omitted to reduce calories.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use cold brew coffee or espresso shots instead of regular cold coffee.
  • To enhance the chocolate flavor, use high-quality unsweetened cocoa powder.
