Ingredients
For the Salmon:
- 12 oz. salmon, cut into 2–3 fillet strips
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
For the Honey Garlic Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 lemon, sliced into wedges
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Season the Salmon: Season the surface of the salmon with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, then set aside.
- Prepare the Glaze: In a bowl, combine honey, water, apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to mix.
- Cook the Salmon: Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat. Pan-fry the salmon, skin side down, for 1 minute. Flip and cook for another minute, then turn over again.
- Add Flavors: Sauté garlic until slightly browned. Add the honey mixture and lemon wedges to the skillet. Reduce the sauce until sticky.
- Broil the Salmon: Optional step – broil the salmon in the oven for 1 minute until slightly charred.
- Serve: Top with parsley and serve immediately.
