Description

This soothing Ginger Honey Tea Tonic combines the refreshing flavors of mint and peach teas with the warming zest of freshly grated ginger and a touch of honey. Perfect for a calming drink that offers a delightful balance of sweet and tangy notes, served warm with a hint of lemon garnish.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1 1/2 cups lemonade
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 bags mint tea
  • 2 bags peach tea

Flavorings

  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey (or more to taste)
  • 1 lemon wedge or slice for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring liquids to boil: Heat the lemonade and water together in a kettle or saucepan until it reaches a gentle boil to prepare the steeping liquid for the teas.
  2. Steep tea and ginger: Place the mint and peach tea bags in separate mugs or collectively in a large measuring cup or pitcher along with the freshly grated ginger. Pour the hot lemonade-water mixture over them and let steep for about 5 minutes for full flavor extraction.
  3. Remove tea bags and sweeten: After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in the honey until fully dissolved, adjusting the sweetness to your taste preference.
  4. Garnish and serve: Add a lemon slice or wedge to the drink for a refreshing garnish and enjoy warm immediately for the best experience.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated ginger for the best flavor and maximum health benefits.
  • Adjust honey quantity based on preferred sweetness and dietary considerations.
  • Can be served hot or allowed to cool and served over ice for a refreshing iced tea version.
  • Using separate mugs or a large pitcher depends on your serving preference; both methods work well.
  • For a stronger ginger flavor, increase the ginger amount slightly but avoid overpowering the delicate teas.
