Ingredients
Pasta
- 10 ounces dried egg noodles
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Sauces & Mix-ins
- 2 cans (10.75 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (15 ounce) jar Lay’s French Onion Dip
Topping
- 1/2 cup French’s fried onions
- Freshly chopped parsley, if desired (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Baking Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray to ensure easy cleanup.
- Cook Egg Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the dried egg noodles and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Once done, drain and set aside.
- Cook Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and drain excess grease.
- Combine and Mix: Add both cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup and the jar of French onion dip to the skillet with the cooked beef. Stir everything together until well blended.
- Add Noodles: Gently fold the cooked, drained noodles into the beef and sauce mixture until all noodles are coated and evenly distributed.
- Assemble in Pan: Pour the casserole mixture into the prepared 9×13-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
- Add Topping: Sprinkle French’s fried onions evenly over the top of the casserole for added crunch and flavor.
- Bake: Place the casserole in the oven and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and, if desired, top with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color. Serve warm and enjoy!
